The Embassy of Ireland in South Africa, with the support of Enterprise Ireland and the Technology Innovation Agency of South Africa, has designed a niche South Africa-Ireland Tech Challenge that will pilot in 2021. This initiative, and the collaborative partnerships it aims to incentivize, will focus on supporting innovation, technology development, and technology deployment and commercialisation through partnerships between Irish and South African tech entrepreneurs and SMMEs. The South Africa-Ireland Tech Challenge will support partnerships that align strongly with Ireland and South Africa’s shared commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and will focus on thematic priorities such as climate solutions, women’s entrepreneurship, and innovation for the SDGs.
